Your notes and your money, in one place.

Mi Apunte pulls together what's currently scattered across five apps: notes, expense tracking and reminders. Snap a photo of a receipt and the expense fills itself in. Everything works offline, and nothing you write ever leaves your phone.

What it does

One app instead of five.

Every feature here exists because it was actually needed — not to pad a list.

Scan the receipt

Photograph a receipt and the app pulls out the merchant, the total and the date, then fills the expense in for you. It reads the text inside your phone: no internet, and the photo goes nowhere.

The note takes the shape you need

Eight types, and each one changes the form: a checklist, a recipe with ingredients and steps, meeting minutes with attendees, a diary entry with a mood, a sectioned document, or just free text.

Turn notes into images

A long note splits into several images ready to post as stories or send over WhatsApp. You pick the colours, the type and the format.

Income, expenses and budgets

Track what comes in and what goes out, set a monthly budget per category, and see exactly where your money is going.

Notes with a lock

Protect a note with a password. Protected notes never reveal their content in lists or on the home screen — they ask for the password to open.

Reminders and calendar

Schedule a reminder and it fires even after a reboot, repeating daily, weekly or monthly. With a calendar view for the whole month.

Import your bank statement

Load the CSV or PDF your bank gives you: pick which movements come in, fix descriptions, and undo the whole import if you want. The file is read inside your phone — not even your bank finds out.

Dictate instead of typing

Tap the mic and talk: it keeps listening phrase after phrase until you stop it, and each phrase lands where it belongs — a checklist item, a recipe step, or plain text. It uses your own phone's voice service.

Tags that get reused

The tags you already used are suggested one tap away — no duplicates from casing or accents — and you can filter the list by any of them.

Folders, topics and sub-topics

Three levels of organisation so you can still find that note six months later. With search, favourites and pinning.

PDF and invoices

Export any note to PDF in one tap. And if you invoice clients, build invoices and quotes with line items and numbering.

Your backup is yours

Export the entire database whenever you like and keep it wherever you decide. No cloud in the middle, nobody to depend on.

The standout feature

The receipt logs itself.

Typing expenses in by hand is exactly what makes people abandon finance apps by week two. So Mi Apunte does it for you: take a photo of the receipt and you're done.

  • Recognises the merchant name and puts it in the description
  • Finds the real total — ignores the subtotal, the tax and the tip
  • Reads the date on the receipt, not today's date
  • Works offline, with on-device text recognition
  • The photo never leaves your phone

Your data is not the product.

Most "free" apps live off your data. Mi Apunte couldn't even if it wanted to: there are no servers, no account, and no pipe out of your phone. Everything you write lives in a local database on your device — and if you uninstall the app, it leaves with you.

  • Zero third parties: no data is shared or sold to anyone — there's nothing to sell because nothing leaves
  • Zero trackers: no ad SDKs, no analytics, no pixels, no identifiers
  • Zero cloud: there isn't even a developer server where your data could be looked at
  • Zero account: we don't know your email, because we never ask for it
  • Receipts are read with text recognition inside your phone; the photo never travels
  • Your bank statement (CSV or PDF) is processed inside your phone; not even your bank finds out
  • Your backup is yours: export the file and keep it wherever you decide

The ultimate proof: put your phone in airplane mode and the app works in full. An app that lives off your data can't say that.

FAQ

What everyone asks.

Does it need internet?

No. Mi Apunte works 100% offline. There's no account to create, nothing to sync and no servers involved. Use it on a plane or out in the countryside with no signal and it behaves exactly the same.

Are my notes and expenses uploaded anywhere?

No. The app does not collect, store or share any personal data. Not even the receipt photo: text recognition runs on the phone itself and the image is never sent to any server. It's all spelled out in the privacy policy.

Is my data shared with third parties?

With no one. No ad SDKs, no analytics, no trackers, no business partners. It isn't a marketing promise: the pipe simply doesn't exist — the app has no servers to send your data through.

Can anyone read my notes?

Not even the developer: there are no servers to look at them on. Your data lives only inside your phone. Full honesty: someone holding your unlocked phone could open the app — that's what the per-note password lock is for.

Is the bank statement I import uploaded anywhere?

No. You pick the file yourself (CSV or PDF), it's read inside your phone and it stays there. The app never connects to your bank, never asks for your banking credentials, and the file never travels to any server. Not even your bank finds out you use Mi Apunte.

What permissions does it ask for, and why?

Three, all optional: camera only to photograph receipts (read on the device), microphone only to dictate notes (it uses your own phone's voice service, the same one the keyboard uses), and notifications so reminders can ring. Grant none of them and the app still works in full.

Any ads, purchases or subscription?

None of the three. Mi Apunte is free, has no ads, no in-app purchases and no subscription. It also ships with no advertising or analytics SDKs.

How does receipt scanning work?

You photograph the receipt (or pick one from your gallery) and the app reads the merchant name, the total and the date, then fills the expense in for you. It uses on-device text recognition, so it works without internet. You can always correct any field before saving. This feature is currently Android-only.

Can I lock a note with a password?

Yes, each note individually. A protected note never shows its content in lists or on the home screen, and asks for the password to open. It's optional — use it only on the notes that genuinely need it.

Will I lose my data when I update?

No. Installing a new version over the previous one keeps everything: notes, finances, reminders and settings. What does wipe your data is uninstalling the app. That's why Settings has "Export Backup", which saves a complete copy of the database wherever you want it.

Is it on the Google Play Store?

Yes, it's published: find it on Google Play. One tap to install, and updates reach you automatically.

I installed the APK — can I switch to the Play version?

Yes, and you lose nothing. Both builds are signed with the same key, so Google Play installs over the one you already have and keeps your notes, expenses and reminders. No need to uninstall. If you'd still rather play it safe, export a backup from Settings first. (The direct APK still exists, at the foot of this page.)

What about the iPhone version?

It's on the way. The app is built with .NET MAUI, which compiles for iOS, so it's a matter of time and store review — not of rewriting it.
